Catherine Smith

IDAHO FALLS — Idaho Community Foundation officials recently announced that Catherine Smith has been hired to serve as the organization’s first fund development/donor relations officer.

According to a news release, Smith served as marketing director for the Idaho Falls Arts Council for seven years and has also worked with the Idaho Commission on the Arts as a regional public art advisor. In addition to marketing and public relations, she is said to have a strong background in graphic design.

“Being an Idaho girl, I can’t wait to visit the incredible communities in east and Southeast Idaho that are rich in history and tradition,” Smith said. “I am excited to explore the organizations and people that are doing notable work in our region. Idaho is a treasure, and I am honored to be able to continue the work of ICF in the region and across the state I truly love.”

The Idaho Community Foundation is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

Those with the statewide, non-profit group aim to help people find a charitable cause to invest in.

Moreover, the group’s tax deductible funds can be tailored to suit almost any charitable intent and provide a permanent funding source to those in need.

A fund development/donor relations officer was also hired to work at the  foundation’s Coeur d’Alene office.
