Idaho Falls Police arrested 22-year-old Javier Mendoza, Jr., for felony malicious injury to property after witnesses saw him cause $1,900 in damage to a vehicle on Tuesday.

Mendoza of Idaho Falls was booked into the Bonneville County Jail on Wednesday.

According to reports, witnesses reported to police Tuesday evening that they saw Mendoza smashing a vehicle’s windows with a lug wrench and what appeared to be a beer bottle.

Damage to the car included broken windows, body damage and damage to the interior. Total damage was estimated at $1,918.

Police located Mendoza Wednesday evening.
