POCATELLO — The southbound lanes of Interstate 15 between mileposts 63 and 64 near Century High School have been reopened, after being blocked for more than an hour due to a commercial vehicle fire.

The interstate was closed at about 4 p.m. Idaho State Police reopened to the semi-trailer fire at about 5:15 p.m. 

The Portneuf Valley and the Pocatello fire departments responded. Bannock County Search and Rescue and ISP were also on the scene. The fire appeared to burn the rear of the semi, which was removed from the trailer before it appeared to cause any damage to the trailer or cargo. Police offered no details about what caused the semi-trailer to catch fire.
