POCATELLO — Hope and Prayers for Baby Travis Gardner is a fundraiser to be held Oct. 22 from 6 to 9 p.m., at Puerto Vallarta Restaurant, 160 W. Cedar St., Pocatello.

Travis, 6 months old, has been fighting a rare form of cancer and his family needs financial assistance. There will be a dinner, raffle/auction with prizes, entertainment and fun. Cost is $10 per person or $25 for a family up to four people.

Donations are welcome to Travis’ account at any Wells Fargo branch or use PayPal online, e-mail to travisgardner@outlook.com or all 208-830-6622. If you wish to donate, call Vanessa at 760-0252.

Travis is the son of Brock Joseph Gardner and Karma Claussen Gardner. He was born Feb. 22, 2012. Just this past August his parents noticed a lump on his neck that was diagnosed as extra renal malignant rhabdoid tumor. He is receiving treatment at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City.

Travis has an older sister, Teya, who is 23 months older. He has been nicknamed “Little Samurai” because he is a fighter, according to his family. Currently, he is being taken care of down in Salt Lake City by his parents and grandparents.
