POCATELLO — Fomer National Football League running back Merril Hoge will return to his hometown to host a free seminar titled “Find A Way” this Thursday, July 25 at 7 p.m. inside the Stephens Performing Arts Center.

    Hoge played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears teams before retiring in 1994. He has worked as a sports analyst and reporter for the ESPN network since 1996.

    The Highland High School and Idaho State University alumnus is a leading advocate with regards to avoiding sports injuries, namely concussions. At the seminar, Hoge will provide advice for sports administrators, coaches, parents and athletes on how they can tackle the concussion crisis facing sports.

    In addition, he will also share his inspirational story of overcoming life obstacles. He will recount his playing days in Pocatello, his rise to the NFL, his bouts with concussion and his battle with cancer.
