POCATELLO — Pocatello Freedom Rally will be held Saturday, April 13 from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Ross Park Band Stand on South Second Avenue. The event will feature live music and a program of guest speakers who will talk on the Second Amendment and other rights. 

The event is open mic. Veterans will be honored and a 9 mm handgun will be raffled at the rally. Cost of tickets is $10 each. 

The event is to rally, celebrate and claim our freedoms under the rule of law, the Constitution, according to the event organizers. 

The emcee will be Mike Adams of the Mike Adams radio show. Speakers will include Wayne Hoffman of the Idaho Freedom Foundation, Ron Daugherty, educator, writer, lecturer, history buff and constitutional advocate, Cal Edwards, coordinator of  Idaho State University law enforcement program, master firearms instructor for Idaho, Inkom police chief and coordinator of the Idaho State Police Academy for seven years.

Also on the program will be Dawn Morrell, United States veteran, co-owner of Big D’s gun shop and Ken Andrus, Idaho state legislator from District 29. Those attending will have the opportunity to meet Wayne Baker, founder of the internationally acclaimed “Freedom Arms.” He is also an activist and honorary member of the U.S. Marshals Association,

Dan Roberts will give a performance of Patrick Henry’s famous speech, “Give me liberty or give me death,” and veterans will be honored. There will be live music by the Ron Clayson band and 101-year-old patriot Lloyd Baker will sing “God Bless America.”

There will be a fundraising bake sale as part of Saturday’s rally for “We the People,” the citizen and the Constitution state competition winners to compete in Washington, D.C.
