Local authorities have responded to three injury accidents recently.Â
Idaho State Police said three people were transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Merrill Road near McCammon on Wednesday, and one man was injured on Monday following a rollover on I-15 near Blackfoot. Bannock County Sheriff’s officials said an adult female was also transported to the hospital following a one-vehicle crash on Buckskin Road, just north of Rapid Creek Road, on Tuesday.Â
The accident near McCammon occurred around 10 a.m. on Wednesday.Â
Pocatello resident William S. Kimball, 29, was traveling west on Merrill Road in a 2004 Dodge pickup pulling a 1994 Spencer fifth wheel trailer when he started navigating a curve in the road, according to an Idaho State Police news release. At the same time, McCammon resident Gaylon F. Gooch, 65, was driving east in a 2012 Kia Sportage, and the two vehicles crashed in the middle of the curve.Â
Three people who were riding in the Kia Sportage had to be transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center, including Gooch and McCammon residents Billie A. Thomas, 73, and Patricia L. Nation, 71, according to the news release. Updates on their conditions weren’t available at press time.Â
Kimball and his passenger, Jerry Wells, 36, of Chubbuck, weren’t injured in the incident, according to the news release, which adds that all of those involved in the crash were wearing seat belts.Â
Idaho State Police are still investigating that accident, along with a rollover that occurred Â
on I-15 near Blackfoot around 8 p.m. on Monday.Â
In that incident, California resident Britton Huycke, 45, was traveling south in a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer when he came upon slower-moving traffic. He turned left and rolled the vehicle in the process, according to a news release.Â
Huycke was transported by ground ambulance to Bingham Memorial Hospital following that incident; an update on his condition wasn’t available at press time.Â
Bannock County Sheriff’s officials said an adult female was also injured in a one-vehicle accident on Buckskin Road shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.Â
Capt. Kevin Fonnesbeck said the woman was reportedly knocked unconscious when the 2001 Ford Explorer crashed into a snowbank. She was transported by ground ambulance to PMC, where she was treated and released, he said.Â
Additional details were unavailable at press time.Â
