Idaho Falls — Following Wednesday’s resignation of Idaho Falls City Attorney, Mr. Dale Storer, the City of Idaho Falls has begun the process of seeking new legal counsel for the city.  Mr. Storer, who has represented the city for nearly three decades (since 1982), is a current partner at the Idaho Falls law firm of Holden Kidwell Hahn & Crapo.  

    In an Executive Session of the City Council earlier today, Mr. Storer’s resignation was accepted and the process for acquiring new legal representation for the city was begun. The search for qualified applicants and the subsequent interview and City Council approval process could take several months and will begin with the immediate formation of a citizen search committee headed by the Mayor. In the interim, the city will seek legal representation through the advice and consent of the state Attorney General’s office. Commenting on the development, Idaho Falls Mayor Jared Fuhriman stated, “Mr. Storer has been a great asset for the city, and his counsel over the years has been invaluable. We wish him well in his future endeavors.”
