CHUBBUCK — Those with the Chubbuck Police Department are reminding motorists that it is required to stop when the red stop sign attached to the side of a school bus is deployed and lights on the bus are flashing.

    On Wednesday, CPD officials indicated they received three arm stop violation complaints.

    In a news release, it was stated that people are asked to stop in order to ensure that kids who are loading or unloading a school bus safely get out of the roadway before traffic resumes.

    Any person found guilty of violating the school bus arm stop rule could face a fine in the amount of $100-$500.

    Oncoming traffic on a highway of more than three lanes is not required to stop upon meeting a school bus when the visual signals are activated.
