AMERICAN FALLS — Idaho State Police responded to a one-vehicle accident east of American Falls on Monday evening.

The non-injury accident occurred in a construction zone on I-86, said Trooper Daniel Brennan.

American Falls resident Cody Hidalgo was driving a 2004 Chevy Malibu when the vehicle veered onto the left shoulder of the road, Brennan said.

Hidalgo overcorrected and the car crossed both lanes and then went into the borrow pit.

Doesn't surprise me that someone crashed on this project. ITD, you fail again to do a highway project around AF that makes sense. Just saying.... [sad]
