GEORGETOWN — Lynette Bower was honored by the Bear Lake School District school board at their last meeting for her 34 years of employment with the district.
Bower said she was a bus driver for the Georgetown route from 1978 to 1987. Then the district needed a teacher’s aide as well as a bus driver for the special needs kids.
“I picked up the kids in the morning, worked with them all day, and drove them home at night. I never had kids, but I had plenty to love and work with and enjoy,” said Bower.
She and her husband, Dave, a photography enthusiast, plan to travel and take pictures.
