POCATELLO — A fundraising event for KC’s Boxing Club will be held on Saturday, June 29 at Duffy’s Tavern, located at 1304 N. Main St.

There will be a prime rib dinner for $10 per person, a horse shoe tournament, live music, and a raffle and prizes. Raffle tickets will cost $5 per ticket, or five can be purchased for $20. The top prize is a 39 inch smart television. Registration for the horse shoe tournament will be held at noon and the tournament will begin at 1 p.m. KC’s Boxing Club is a Pocatello based non profit boxing club that provides low cost professional boxing training for local youth. Funds raised at Saturday’s event will go toward lodging, food and gas for the club’s participants to attend out of town boxing matches, and will also be used toward equipment upgrades. The club’s founder, KC McCreery boxed for 14 years before becoming a coach at Gate City Boxing. He coached at Gate City for 12 years and then began his own boxing club with fellow coach Oelke Knutter. Knutter also boxed at Gate City Boxing Club. KC’s Boxing Club was founded about three years ago.
