MONTPELIER — An auto tech team from Bear Lake High School competed in the 2013 championship round at Weber State University’s Automotive Technology contest on Feb. 7, placing first in engine performance and ninth in the overall contest.Â
Bear Lake was the smallest school competing. The team went head to head with schools from Eugene, Ore., Anaheim, Calif., and Nevada; schools as large as Utah’s Cottonwood, Roy, Clearfield and Olympus high schools.Â
The competition started Dec. 6 with 84 schools participating in a written test. Bear lake was among the top 24 schools to participate in this last round at Weber State in Ogden, Utah. Â
