    Oct. 16, 1987: The Pocatello Courthouse and Fitness Center is under new ownership. Greg Barkdull has purchaseddd the facility in Westwood Mall, along with Craig Norby, from Shadowhill Corporation out of New York.

    50 years ago    

    Oct. 16, 1962: A Pocatello High School sophomore won $500 in an essay contest. Kert Howard, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Howard, 1333 N. Main, won the top scholarship, sponsored by Western Tablet Stationery Company.
