AMERICAN FALLS — The American Falls Community Church is hosting a free community concert on Friday featuring the award-winning Liberty Quartet.

The Liberty Quartet is a gospel group that performs every year for the American Falls Christian Fellowship. But the Christian church is currently recovering from “massive flooding,” so the Community Church agreed to host the concert this year.

“This is a great gospel group!” the American Falls Community Church wrote on Facebook of the Liberty Quartet. “They have been singing over 20 years together.”

Liberty Quartet was founded in October of 1995 out of a local church in Boise. The gospel group comprises founding member Royce Mitchell, and singers and musicians Paul W. Ellis, Will Arasmith and Doran Ritchey. The group is based out of west Idaho but has been traveling and performing full-time since 1997.

The concert is free and will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at the American Falls Community Church, located at 745 Bennett Ave.
