A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever was responsible for making a threat to bomb American Falls High School on Friday, according to Kevin Ostler of the Power County Sheriff's Office. The investigation remains open.
Ostler said that the safety and security plan for the American Falls high school’s bomb threat Friday worked well. Law enforcement and a specialized bomb-sniffing K-9 dog from the Pocatello Police Department searched the school Thursday. Security procedures, including a closed campus and screening of backpacks, were also used Friday. No threats were discovered.
However some parents still chose not to send their students to school. Students were also able to check back out of school with parental permission.
