A 5-year-old was killed Tuesday afternoon in the LaBelle area of Jefferson County when an all-terrain vehicle rolled on top of her, according to a news release.

    The name of the female girl is not being released pending notification of her family.

    The child’s grandparents called in the accident around 1 p.m. They indicated that the 5-year-old was operating the ATV when it rolled, according to Mickey Eames with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

    County deputies were assisted by officials representing Rigby, as well as a medical crew with the city of Idaho Falls.
