MONTPELIER — The Bear Lake Health Care Foundation has received a $2,000 grant for the new telemedicine technology at Bear Lake Memorial Hospital.
The giver of the grant was from the Kissler Family Foundation Philanthropic Gift Fund in the Idaho Community Foundation (ICF).
This technology is based around a telemedicine communication device (robot) and is in partnership with the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. The technology provides a fast way of getting additional medical care and consultation with specialists at Portneuf Medical Center.
“The foundation is grateful for the gift from the Kissler Family through the ICF,” said foundation director Craig Thomas. “With this money the hospital will be able to increase the areas within the facility that this technology can be used.”
