POCATELLO - The last of three defendants involved in a scheme to befriend and then rob migrant workers pleaded guilty Monday to conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of methamphetamine.

Christine Evans, 28, was originally charged with an additional count of conspiracy to commit robbery. One count was dismissed in exchange for her plea of guilty to the two remaining counts.

Police alleged that Evans, 28, Jenny Flores, 24 befriended the workers, gaining their trust and waiting until the workers cashed their paychecks. The men were then alleged to have been lured to an east side Pocatello location, where Nathan Pufall, 25, appeared with a rifle, robbing the victims of their money.

Pufall changed his plea to guilty Oct. 27 to two counts of armed robbery in the incident. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 1 before Sixth District Judge Peter D. McDermott. Flores pleaded guilty and was sentenced last week to a two-year fixed, three-year indeterminate sentence. The sentence was suspended and Flores was placed on probation.

Evans is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 12 before Judge David Nye.
