POCATELLO - Police are investigating the theft of three motorcycles from a local business.

The thefts occurred between 2 p.m. Oct. 25 and 10 a.m. Oct. 27 from Powersports, Inc. at 2523 Poleline Road. Two of the motorcycles were unassembled and still in their factory crates. All three motorcycles could have fit into a conventional pickup truck bed.

The 2008 motorcycles are a K.T.M. model 250 SX-F and a K.T.M. Model 450 SX-F. Both are orange and black in color and valued at $8,000 each. Both are racing bikes and are not street legal.

The other motorcycle is a Honda 80cc model XR, red and black in color. This bike was already assembled and is also not street legal. It is valued at $800.
