POCATELLO - A woman was struck by a car Friday morning while crossing Eighth Avenue at Idaho State University in Pocatello.

The victim, a 19-year-old ISU student, was not seriously injured. She was transported by ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center, where she was examined and released. The accident occurred at about 10 a.m.

The driver, Benjamin Morris, 22, was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian at a crosswalk, an infraction. Morris is also an ISU student. The crosswalk is between the ISU Student Health Center and the Bengal Theater.
