ARIMO - A Marsh Valley High School student was taken to Portneuf Medical Center Wednesday afternoon after allegedly overdosing on an unspecified controlled substance.

"What we've got is there was a high school student who took some drugs, Bannock County Sheriff Lorin Nielsen said. "The school resource officer was there and interviewed him. He wouldn't tell him what he took. He was vomiting up a little bit of blood."

Nielsen said the incident happened about 2 p.m. He said the student was able to walk to the ambulance under his own power and was transported to Pocatello for medical attention.

No further information was available due to patient privacy and the student's age.
