POCATELLO - Local automobile salesman Kelly Hirning said Friday he's contacted Idaho lawmakers to encourage their support for a proposed bailout to help Detroit's troubled Big Three automotive companies.

On the national level, he's concerned the failure of any of the Big Three - General Motors Corp.,

Ford Motor Co. and Chrysler LLC - could have a significant economic ripple effect.

Locally, however, he believes Pocatello's economy isn't prone to extreme fluctuations and shouldn't be hurt too bad.
