PRESTON - An early Sunday morning fire caused extensive damage to Big J's Restaurant. Smoke and water damage to the business were estimated in the $150,00-$200,00 range, according to fire department officials.

A defective dryer was the suspected cause, according to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office. Owners Bob and Nancy Egbert said they plan on rebuilding.
