Ambulance

A 65-year-old East Idaho man was hurt Friday afternoon when the semitrailer he was driving overturned on the on- and off-ramps of Interstate 15 south of Blackfoot, according to Idaho State Police.

Gaylen W. Clayson, 65, of Firth was driving north in a 2005 International semi that was pulling a single trailer at 4:57 p.m. when the crash happened.

Clayson exited the interstate using the off-ramp. Then the semi and trailer overturned, coming to rest in the roadway, blocking the off- and on-ramp.

The roadway was blocked for about four hours while emergency personnel worked to clear the scene.

Clayson, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by ground ambulance to Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot.

He was treated and released, according to a hospital spokesperson.
