BLACKFOOT - A proposed gravel pit was back on the table during a Bingham County Planning and Zoning work meeting Wednesday.

The board denied a special-use permit for the Goodwin & Gregory Gravel Pit last February. But that decision was appealed, and Bingham County Commissioners later approved the gravel pit and submitted it to the court for judicial confirmation.

Planning and Zoning Administer Melodie Halstead said the proposed site of the gravel pit, 53 North 550 West, is in a light manufacturing zone.

District Judge Darren Simpson asked the Planning and Zoning Board to review the file and confirm that the information was accurate, Halstead said. The case will then be returned to Simpson for a final ruling.
