BLACKFOOT - Whitney Manwaring, the second top vote-getter in the May 27 republican primaries announced this week that he is running as a write in candidate for the Bingham County Commission.

Manwaring was defeated in the primary election by Donavan Harrington, said Bingham County Clerk Sara Staub.

Harrington received 1,007 votes and Manwaring garnered 920.

Manwaring is a Blackfoot firefighters and he also operates a family ranch in Bingham County.
