SHELLEY - An illegal immigrant accused of being a "Peeping Tom," was arrested following a lengthy investigation by Shelley police.
On Nov. 14, Enrique Toerres Zaragoza, 23, of Mexico was charged with stalking. He is being held in the Bingham County on a $2,500 bond.
"We've been looking for this guy for four months," said Shelley Police Chief Alan Dial.
Dial said a two months ago, a a home surveillance video captured Zaragoza as he pulled up his shirt up to cover his face and peered into a window.
A second victim, an elderly woman who lived a local senior center, reported that Zaragoza shined a light into her window and when she opened the blinds to see where the light was coming from, he exposed himself to her.
Shelley police set up surveillance, and determined where Zaragoza was living. After the two victims identified him from a photograph, Dial said an arrest warrant was obtained.
Zaragoza has been living in the Shelley community for the past five months.
"It looks like he started peeping as soon as he got here," Dial said.
