Idaho 32 and 47 in Eastern Idaho now closed

BOISE - Blowing and drifiting snow and low visibility have forced the closure of nearly 40 miles of Idaho 32 and 47 in the eastern part of the state, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Idaho 32 between Tetonia and Ashton (mileposts 0-28)

Idaho 47 between Ashton and Bear Gulch (mileposts 2-12)

The closures will remain in effect until conditions improve and the roads are cleared.

Travelers are encouraged to check the 511 Traveler Services Web site (511.idaho.gov) or dial the phone system 5-1-1 for the latest closures and highway conditions. Reports are updated twice daily during the week, once each day on weekends, and anytime during the interim as conditions change.

To access the telephone system from areas near the Idaho border or from other states, motorists can call toll-free, (888) 432-7623.
