ARIMO - Marsh Valley erupted with a fast-paced fourth quarter to beat Malad 43-28 at home Wednesday.

The Eagles led 24-21 entering the fourth quarter but outscored the Dragons 19-7 in the final period.

"I think our physical shape got us out ahead of them and kept us going," Marsh Valley coach Kyle McQuivey said. "Malad looked like they were getting a little more tired than we were."

Courtney Dunn led Marsh Valley with 13 points, while Laci Lavaka scored 13 herself to pace Malad.

Marsh Valley (4-3) next hosts Sugar-Salem on Friday.
