FORT HALL — Authorities in Fort Hall are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man’s body there earlier this week.

Fort Hall police were dispatched to Agency Road in Fort Hall around 1:38 p.m. Tuesday after the body of a man was located, according to a news release from the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes.

The FBI and Bingham County Coroner Jimmy Roberts also responded to the scene.

On Thursday, Roberts identified the body that was discovered as Daylon L. Broncho, 53, of Fort Hall.

“On behalf of the Fort Hall Business Council, we wish the family our deepest condolences and would like to thank the Fort Hall Police Department for your prompt response to the incident,” said Fort Hall Business Council Chairman Nathan Small.

Roberts said Broncho’s body was found outside of a residence at 126 Agency Road in Fort Hall.

The official cause and manner of Broncho’s death remains under investigation, Roberts said.

An autopsy of Broncho’s body was conducted in Ada County on Wednesday, Roberts said, adding that he is waiting for the results of that autopsy to aid him in making an official determination on Broncho’s cause and manner of death.

The Tribes said there is no danger to the public.
