Firth 52, Malad 51 (OT)

MALAD - Firth outlasted the Malad girls' basketball team in a 52-51 overtime victory Tuesday in Malad.

The Dragons' Meagan Lish scored a game-high 19 points - including a 3-pointer at the regulation buzzer that tied the game and sent it to overtime.

Malad coach Bob Sorensen was disappointed with the loss, but it was a big improvement from the last time his team played Firth. On Nov. 14, the Cougars beat the Dragons 48-20 in Firth.

"Madi Jones and Brittany Tubbs were tough on the boards," Sorensen said. "That's what kept us in the game."

Now 0-4, Malad visits 3A American Falls on Dec. 3.
