I would like to just take a moment and thank everyone who has taken time out of their busy schedules to vote and also post their opinions And also express that my wanting the public to be aware of the courts handling/ruling on my case was not to start a witch hunt or such but wanting people in this community to see how lightly sexual assault charges are looked upon here.
Regardless of this being a Right To Work State people like myself still have self value, take pride in their jobs and do the best they can to be self supportive. We are also entitled as victims and/or accused to be heard in court to show proof/express their side of the story as Jonas says " two sides" and be given a fair trial. Your absolutely right Jonas their is truth here and both Mr. Chavez and I should have been given the opportunity to tell our sides and let a jury of our peers decide. Unfortunately it was Mr. Chaves himself or at his attorneys advice they chose not to go jury trial and they offered to take a lesser charge allowing a No Contact Order still be placed on my behalf for 1 year.
Sentencing is scheduled for May 14th and this will be my time to address the courts with "Victims Statement' at which I am at least given that. But that doesn't give me back my trust or feeling safe now. Nor does it bring back my self confidence that I can take care of myself or that i can handle someone threatening me.And lets not even go int my job that I LOVED dearly having worked their close to 8 years scheduled 6 to 7 days a week out of out of the first 5 years. Nor does it pay my bills as I am the only provider.
You see Jonas this so called incident not only assaulted me Physically but also Emotionally and Financially. And by the way Jonas... I To Have A Family and help my neighborhood and I am a Hard Worker!!!!
