With a Labor Day holiday starting the month, duplicate bridge players had only three Tuesday nights to play. On Sept. 11, Jeanne Moore and Ann Bryan tied for first in the A group with Mardy Little and Steve Smith. Little and Smith were also first in B. Third in A went to Doris Brydon and Shiela Mathiesen, and fourth to Cathy Kratz and Jack Triplett. Peggy Vogt and Dave Stoler placed second in B.

Deb Mignogno and Jan Green took top honors in all three groups — A, B and C — on Sept. 18. Joy Burke and Jack Triplett were second in A. Barb Bain and Janice Matteson-Howell scored a third in A and a second in B.

Larry Kratz and Angela Butterfield easily outdistanced the field for a first in A on the last Tuesday of the month. Second place went to Duane Murphy and Jack Triplett. Janice Matteson-Howell and Barb Bain were third in A and first in B and C. Fourth in A was awarded to Jeanne Moore and Shiela Mathiesen. Doris Brydon and Dave Stoler rounded out the winners with a second in B.
