POCATELLO — Community children and families are invited to a ReadTalkPlay evening of reading and baseball with the Gate City Grays. The event will be held 6 p.m. July 22 at Halliwell Park, 1100 W. Alameda Road in Pocatello.

The first 100 kids will receive a special edition ReadTalkPlay-Ball T-shirt, and all participating children will take home a newly selected STEM-themed baseball book, chosen especially for this year’s event to spark curiosity and early learning. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m., reading with the players begins at 6 p.m. and the Gate City Grays game starts at 7:30 p.m.

All children must be accompanied by an adult. Kids will get in free with the purchase of an adult ticket. This event is part of the summer ReadTalkPlay series, designed to help families connect and build early literacy skills through fun, everyday experiences.
