POCATELLO — The Idaho State University Political Science Club and the League of Women Voters of Pocatello invite you to join them for a nonpartisan opportunity to present comments to our U.S. Senate and Congressional District 2 elected officials on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Wood River Room of the ISU Student Union Building, 1065 S. 8th Ave. in Pocatello.
Sens. Mike Crapo and Jim Risch along with House Rep. Mike Simpson declined the invitation to participate in this town hall. In their absence, the League will hold an "empty chair" town hall to record comments that attendees want to share with their elected officials. These recorded comments will be delivered to local representatives for our members of Congress.
Doors will open 30 minutes before the event starts. Individuals wishing to comment will sign in at the door and be called on in order of the sign in list to present. Comments will be limited to three minutes in length. Please consider focused comments on current topics of congressional concern. Idaho's congressional members will not accept any comments using profanity.
