The 6th Judicial District Magistrates Commission will be selecting a magistrate judge to replace the Honorable Paul Laggis, who will be retiring effective July 31. The Magistrates Commission asks you for your help in the appointment by providing us with your comments on the following applicants:

Jessalyn Rose Hopkin, deputy Idaho state public defender, Pocatello.
Trenton Alan McRae, deputy prosecutor, Canyon County, Caldwell.
Michael Joshua Morrissey, deputy Idaho state public defender, American Falls.
Scott Alexander Pearson, deputy prosecutor, Bannock County, Pocatello.
JaNiece Price, deputy prosecutor, Bannock County Pocatello.
Stephanie Ann Ray, deputy Idaho state public defender, Pocatello.
Janine Patrice Reynard, private attorney, Avery Law, Pocatello.
Adam Michael Strong, magistrate judge, Boise County, Idaho City.
Evaluation questionnaires on the applicants will be sent to attorneys statewide. Evaluation forms for public comment may be obtained from the 6th District Trial Court Administrator’s Office, 624 E. Center, Room 307 in Pocatello, your local county courthouse, by phone at 208-236-7071 or by email at jdye@idcourts.gov
Any individuals with personal knowledge regarding the qualifications of the applicants are urged to complete the evaluation form. Evaluations on the magistrate judge applicants should be returned to the Trial Court Administrator’s Office at 624 E. Center, Room 307, Pocatello, ID 83201 or by email at jdye@idcourts.gov no later than May 26 at 5 p.m.
