POCATELLO — Lifelong Pocatello resident and Chamber of Commerce Trailblazer Ann Swanson, who had previously made known her intention to run for Pocatello City Council, announced today that she will be seeking Seat 6. Seat 6 will not have an incumbent on the ballot in November after Rick Cheatum announced his plan not to seek reelection for the City Council.

Swanson has spent her career helping local businesses innovate and succeed. She brings a deep commitment to fiscal responsibility, community safety and sustainable growth.

“I’m running to bring level-headed leadership, community connection and a strong sense of stewardship to the City Council.”

Swanson has an excellent record of civic engagement, from Chamber of Commerce service to volunteer work with local campaigns. Her vision for Pocatello aligns with the community’s long-term goals, focusing on fostering connected, safe and accessible neighborhoods while promoting economic resilience.

The municipal election will take place on Nov. 4. For more information, visit AnnforPocatello.com or contact Ann at Ann@AnnforPocatello.com.
