PRESTON — The Preston Area Chamber of Commerce is set to hold its annual banquet on Thursday.

Stevie Emerson, president of the chamber, said the banquet will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22 at the Robinson Building on 186 W. 2 N.

"It's open to any business in Franklin County," Emerson said.

During the banquet, the chamber announces the winner of its Business of the Year Award. The winner of this award has to have been a member of the chamber for at least a year.

"We look at chamber activity, economic impact, service to the community and if they represent the chamber values," Emerson said.

The banquet will also involve a recap of everything the chamber accomplished in 2025, and there will be a brief discussion about its goals for 2026.

"We receive feedback from members and other businesses," Emerson said.
