FORT HALL - Two Fort Hall residents were recently arrested and booked into jail on numerous felony charges after police say a shots fired incident resulted in officers locating drugs and firearms inside their home.

The incident began to unfold around 2:10 p.m. on Oct. 1 when Fort Hall patrol officers responded to a home on Agency Road after receiving a report of possible gunshots coming from the residence, according to a news release from the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes.

Upon further investigation, Creston Kindness, 39, and Chelsea Goodrider, 25, both of Fort Hall, were located inside the residence and arrested on multiple weapons and drug charges.

Fort Hall police obtained a search warrant for the home and located two handguns, a semi-automatic rifle, ammunition, a large amount of cash, a ledger, drugs, drug paraphernalia and other items used in drug distribution, said the Tribes, adding that officers did not locate anyone shot or injured at the residence.

Kindness and Good rider both face charges of manufacture, possession or delivery of a controlled substance near a school, church, child care center or tribal government building; unlawful manufacture, deliver or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance; possession of a controlled substance; obstructing an officer; unlawful use of a firearm and illegal possession of drug paraphernalia, the Tribes said.

Additionally, Kindness faces three counts of unlawful possession of a deadly weapon and an unlawful use of a firearm charge, according to the Tribes news release.

All charges against Kindness and Good rider have been filed in tribal court, though Shoshone Bannock Tribes officials say additional tribal and federal charges could be forthcoming depending on the outcome of the investigation.

At the conclusion of the investigation, an incident report will be submitted to the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Idaho in Pocatello for the consideration of federal charges, the Tribes said.

There is no immediate danger to the public at this time and the Fort Hall Police Department will continue to work hard to arrest anyone involved in illegal drug activity in the Fort Hall community, the Tribes said.
