BOISE — A Boise man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to sexual battery of a minor, a charge that stemmed from groping young girls at a local waterpark.

Bo Gene Crisp, 40, must serve at least three years and up to 25 years in prison, Ada County District Judge Lynn Norton ruled Thursday, July 2. Crisp was accused of ”sexually groping” multiple girls on June 13, 2025, at Roaring Springs Water Park in Meridian.

According to the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office, multiple girls reported being sexually touched in the Roaring Springs wave pool by Crisp, who “used the natural movement of the waves and the crowded conditions as cover, positioning himself near young females and reaching under the water to grab their buttocks as waves passed.”

“His behavior was observed by other swimmers, park guests, employees, and even his own friend,” the prosecutor’s office stated.

Crisp left the park after he was confronted by Roaring Springs staff but returned a short time later, saying he was there to pick up his children. At that time, he was identified by two victims at the scene.

Investigators used surveillance footage to identify 14 victims, who “said they felt stalked and described (Crisp’s) behavior as creepy.”

Crisp was initially charged with felony sexual abuse of a minor, felony sexual battery of a minor and two misdemeanor charges of sexual battery, to which he pleaded not guilty. He ultimately pleaded guilty to felony sexual battery of a minor and his other charged were dropped as part of the plea agreement, online court records show.

Crisp may be eligible for parole after serving three years of his sentence. He’s also required to register as a sex offender.

“What you have done will have a lasting impact on these victims, both now and as they grow and mature,” Judge Norton said. “(There’s) no way they can escape the memories of these traumatic events.”
