Marsh Valley 56, Bear Lake 0

MONTPELIER - For another week, Marsh Valley's Dylan Bybee had his way with the opposing defense.

Bybee carried the ball 12 times for 247 yards and four touchdowns as the Eagles beat Bear Lake 56-0 on Friday.

His scoring runs came from nine, seven, 25 and 77 yards out. Wyatt Lolofie added two rushing scores for Marsh Valley while Robbie Morris had an interception return for a touchdown.

With the win, the Eagles moved to 7-0 overall and 2-0 in 3A Fifth District play. The'll host Snake River next week to decide the league championship. The Bears fell to 1-6 and 0-2. They'll play Marsh Valley next week with a playoff spot up for grabs.

Snake River 48, American Falls 0

MORELAND - Snake River quarterback C.J. Toulouse didn't carry the ball much, but when he did, the results were usually good.

The Panthers signal caller rushed for 113 yards on four carries while adding a 40-yard touchdown pass, and Snake River routed American Falls 48-0 on Friday night.

"He set the tone for us," Panthers coach Jeff Dalley said. "Our line did a good job blocking, and Toulouse got loose on a couple long runs. Then we just mixed it up. Everybody got to touch the ball."

Jake Reece ran for two touchdowns of his own, caught Toulouse's TD pass and threw a 71-yard scoring strike of his own for Snake River.

The Panthers are now 5-2 overall and 2-0 in 3A Fifth District play. They'll travel to Marsh Valley with the league title on the line next week. The Beavers dropped to 1-6 and 0-2 and will play Bear Lake with a playoff berth at stake next.

Soda Springs 20, Grace 14, OT

SODA SPRINGS - Despite the fact that Soda Springs pulled out a 20-14 home win over Grace in overtime Friday, Cardinals coach Rod Worthington wasn't happy with his team's play.

Soda Springs rushed for 255 yards, and its 287 total yards on offense were much more than Grace's 166. If not for penalties that sabotaged one drive after another, the Cardinals would have won in regulation, Worthington said.

"Going into the overtime period was probably disappointing more than anything," Worthington said.

Still, Easton Erickson scored on a 4-yard run in the Kansas City tiebreaker to give the Cardinals the win. Tanner Passey led them with 158 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Brayden Bailey rushed for 87 yards.

Soda Springs (5-2) faces Aberdeen next Thursday, with the 2A Fifth District's third and final playoff spot at stake.

Dietrich 34, Rockland 28

Dietrich took advantage of Rockland's few mistakes to beat the Bulldogs, 34-28, Friday.

"It was a hard fought game by both teams," Rockland coach Steven May said. "We had a couple of bad breaks that cost us the game."

The game clincher came when Rockland fumbled the ball on a bad snap to give Dietrich the ball on the 2-yard line, and the go-ahead score.

Rockland did have some bright spots on offense.

"Jake Tomkinson had a good day running the ball," May said.

Rockland (3-3) next plays host to Carey, Friday at 3:30 p.m.
