Hilary Hendricks helped the Bear Lake girls' basketball team get off to a good start in its post-holiday schedule when she scored a game-high 16 points to help the Bears topple Star Valley (Wyo.) 53-50 on Dec. 27 at Afton, Wyo.

Bear Lake has enjoyed balanced offensive production so far this season, with Heather Wallentine, Kayla Wallentine, Hailey Poulson and Trezlyn Bartschi also having hit double digits in scoring.

Hendricks has led the Bears in scoring in each of the past two games, though, and played a large role in helping the Bears overcome a 41-36 deficit entering the fourth quarter against Star Valley.

The Bears are back in action today when they host Morgan (Utah). The team opens 3A Fifth District play on Jan. 9 by traveling to Marsh Valley.
