AMERICAN FALLS - The Snake River girls' basketball team used a full-court press to pound American Falls 57-32 on Wednesday.

Heading into the second quarter, the Panthers actually trailed 11-9 but it wasn't close after that. The reason? Snake River started pressing.

"The first quarter was pretty close, then in the second quarter we expanded our pressure full court and the couldn't hack it," Snake River coach Steven Morton said. "We took them out of their offense and gave us some easy looks off turnovers."

Sage Goff led the Panthers with 13 points and Erica Christensen scored 11. But overall, Snake River received balanced scoring.

With the win, Snake River improved to 8-4. It next plays Filer on Friday.
