MORELAND - It took a while for the Snake River girls to adjust to Filer's height, but once the Panthers did, they rallied for a 48-44 win Friday night.

"This Filer team is a pretty good team," said Snake River coach Steven Morton. "They're probably bigger than any team we've played."

The Wildcats held a 24-18 at halftime, but the Panthers pushed the tempo in the second half to take the lead.

"We got some early transition buckets," Morton said, "and it seemed like the basket opened up for us."

Eden Van Orden scored 15 points to lead Snake River (9-4, 1-0 3A Fifth District), and Cassie Murdoch chipped in 10 points.

The Panthers will travel to face Bear Lake on Wednesday.
