PRESTON - Preston beat back a fourth-quarter rally by Burley to win 48-46, Thursday.

Jessica Tews and Chalis Rawlings each made 2 free throws at the end of the game to put the Indians up by 4. Burley went down and scored, but time expired before they had another shot, giving Preston the win.

"The girls really rallied," Preston coach Ryon Pope said. "I was really impressed with how hard my girls played tonight."

The Indians played so hard that four of them fouled out. Allie Kelsey, McKenzie Wilcox, Holly Checketts and Cara Parker all got into foul trouble for the Indians.

Parker led the team in scoring with 10 points, and Brooke Beckstead added 9.

Preston (15-9) next plays Rigby Saturday at Highland High School in a play-in game for the state tournament.
