BANCROFT - Both teams made the same number of field goals and attempted the same number of foul shots, but ultimately, North Fremont made more 3-pointers in its 47-44 win at North Gem on Saturday.

The 2A Huskies made six treys to the 1A Cowboys' two, which proved to be the difference in the game.

Despite the disparity from deep, North Gem had a chance to tie, but Mitchel Hall's 3-pointer at the buzzer rimmed out.

Shawn Banks led the way for the Cowboys with 12 points, while Colton Davids added nine.

North Gem (2-6) will open league play Friday at Mackay.
