An ambulance at the scene of Monday's hit-and-run crash outside of the Pocatello Fred Meyer.

POCATELLO — A woman sitting in a car in the parking lot outside of Fred Meyer was injured earlier this week when a driver in another car struck hers and then left the scene, authorities said.

Pocatello police said the woman was in a blue Dodge compact car and the suspect, who has not been identified, was in a blue Mazda car when the collision occurred around 5:30 p.m. Monday. The Mazda left the scene following the collision, police said.

The woman in the Dodge was transported via ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center following the crash for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Several witnesses called to report the collision to police after it happened.

The hit-and-run crash remains under investigation by Pocatello police. If you have any information on the incident, please call police at 208-234-6100.
