'Why I Said Yes' winners
Joe Kline/Idaho State Journal Ethan Chipman discusses how he proposed to his wife Patty at their home in American Falls on Friday.

Ethan and Patty Chipman met through their children.

"He moved in next door to me. My kids kept going over to his place asking, 'Do you have any kids?'" Patty recalls.

Now the five children are more than best friends. They're siblings.

The parents became good neighbors and then close friends. Gradually, it evolved into something more. Though it's hard for them to pick a definitive moment as to when the romance started, the story of their engagement is truly unforgettable. It's been chosen as the grand prize winner in the "Why I Said Yes" contest, sponsored by the Idaho State Journal and pocatellovows.com.
