Where would new center go?
Doug Lindley/Idaho State Journal Jessica Kack, a member of the Idaho State University Rodeo Club, practices in the new indoor riding arena at the Bannock County Fairgrounds on Tuesday in Pocatello. The fairgrounds, near the indoor riding arena, is one possible site for a proposed new events center.

POCATELLO - Bannock County Fair Board Chairman Dale Almond is aware that the Pocatello/Chubbuck Auditorium District is considering owning its own event venue in the near future, and he believes something adjacent to the new covered arena at the fairgrounds would be ideal.

"We are looking into it as a joint venture with the Greater Pocatello Convention and Visitors Bureau," Almond said. "Our hope is that they build something adjacent to that."
